SELECTED CAMPAIGNS

An brief overview of some of the advertising campaigns I’ve worked on over the years.

1. HERE WE CAN

CLIENT WEWORK
AGENCY JOHANNES LEONARDO
DESIGN DIRECTOR JOSEPH DASARO

In an attempt to differentiate themselves in an increasingly crowded marketplace, WeWork sought to highlight the uniqueness of its offerings with a stylish, arresting campaign. Focusing on the synergy between man and building, we conceived a campaign identity focused on dramatic, low-angle portraiture coupled with artfully arranged 3D renderings of some of WeWork’s more visually striking real-estate offerings. The campaign’s scope included a complete takeover of the Gallery Place metro station in DC, and a promotional Fortune Magazine cover wrap.

2. BITE-SIZED DEBATES

CLIENT BAGEL BITES

Baseball or basketball? Serif or sans? Pizza or bagel? In a world rife with disagreement and polarization it seems the only thing we can all agree on is how well pizza and bagels go together.

So in that spirit we created a design system that could express the satisfying simplicity of agreement. The universal symbol of common ground, the venn diagram, is the star of the show, reminding us that peace is just a Bagel Bite away. Crisp, Swiss Style layouts and typography provide an understated and dryly sarcastic attitude that lets the copy be the star, while a pared down palette of BBs brand colors and a paper-like texture give an otherwise flat design a sense of tactility and presence.

3. UP AT NIGHT

CLIENT WEWORK
AGENCY JOHANNES LEONARDO
DESIGN DIRECTOR JOSEPH DASARO

WeWork came to us seeking to solidify their place as the mecca of hustlepreneur culture, so we partnered with GImlet Media to create Up At Night, WeWork’s first (and hopefully only) podcast. Featuring interviews with some of the hottest CEOs and Startup up-and-comers, Up At Night is the go-to one-stop-shop for all things 9-5 grind.

To accompany the red carpet rollout of Up At Night, we created a host of supporting artwork and a visual identity system inspired by children’s bedtime stories, because while the world is tucking in for some Z’s, hustlers are up grinding for some $’s.

4. SQUARE IT

CLIENT KRAFT SINGLES
AGENCY JOHANNES LEONARDO
DESIGN DIRECTOR JOSEPH DASARO

How does such a small square make such a big impact? To celebrate the far reaching culinary influence of the iconic Kraft Single, we created this bold, graphic campaign identity centered around how this one little square can take your meal from zero to bring-that-over-here-o. I really have zero training or experience writing copy so I apologize for all of this.

5. YOURS TO MAKE

CLIENT INSTAGRAM
AGENCY JOHANNES LEONARDO
DESIGN DIRECTOR JOSEPH DASARO

A brand campaign aimed at reigniting a love for a platform that everyone is already using by highlighting a cast of diverse content creators. Casting real Instagram users, we asked them to highlight themselves and their inspirations, and created a design system that’s as unique and expressive as they are.

6. VIZZY

CLIENT VIZZY
AGENCY JOHANNES LEONARDO
DESIGN DIRECTOR JOSEPH DASARO

Launch campaign identity for Vizzy Hard Seltzer that leverages elements of their brand color and attitude across a variety of touchpoints.

7. HOW WOULD A DOG WEAR PANTS...?

CLIENT BAGEL BITES
AGENCY JOHANNES LEONARDO
DESIGN DIRECTOR JOSEPH DASARO

How indeed. Based on the popular meme, this extension of the “Bite-Sized Debates” campaign asks the titular question in the most universal language we have: merchandise.  To accompany the launch of these so-called “dog pants” we designed packaging and an ecommerce website in the campy vernacular of Infomercials.
